At Persado, our commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is an integral part of who we are. Our CSR highlights our dedication to the planet and global community, our customers and stakeholders, and supporting every employee, or ”Persadoan,” every day. We demonstrate this commitment through environmental, social, and governance initiatives across regions.
ENVIRONMENTAL
Persado is focused on mitigating our environmental footprint through continued sustainability efforts and meaningful resource usage. Our hybrid-plus-remote working model supports Persadoans in working wherever they choose while also contributing to reducing our carbon usage and emissions. In our New York and Athens offices, we take energy and resource- efficient actions, such as:
- Using energy-saving, motion-sensored lights
- Equipping kitchens with compostable or reusable items
- Reducing catering food waste with post-event food donations
We are mindful that these practices are beneficial to protecting our planet, but there is more we can do outside of the office, as well. Persado puts a strong emphasis on offsetting carbon use and helping to preserve a clean planet. For example:
- Persado Forest program – As of October 2023, Persado is sponsoring the planting of 300 trees to fight climate change; one for every employee. The estimated Co2 offsetting power is conservatively around 150 to 380 KGs per tree.
- Volunteer park cleanups – Employees local to our New York City or Athens offices come together to help clean up area parks and green spaces.
SOCIAL
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion (DEI) is core to work life at Persado. We celebrate employees of all backgrounds and encourage a company culture of inclusion and belonging. Our employees are our most valuable asset and we recognize that Persado is stronger because of the people who support, trust, and engage with our DEI efforts. Sample programs include:
- Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) – Persadoans are encouraged to join employee-led resource groups of interest to cultivate community, storytelling, and collaboration across divisions. More than 45% of our global team are women–a high ratio for the software industry–making the Persado Women ERG among the most active.
- Diverse Voices – A monthly speaker series in which expert professionals or panelists speak to, and with, Persadoans about critical Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion-related topics.
Working at Persado involves creating an exceptional employee experience for all. It is our passion to continue developing new ways that will help employees to feel and work their best. We support employees through numerous employee benefits and perks, such as:
- Employee Enrichment Fund – Persado encourages personal and professional growth outside of the workplace with a yearly fund intended to explore interests, develop skills, and further passions.
- Summer Fridays – Every employee is able to take four full Fridays off in the summer to enjoy however they choose.
- Mindfulness Resources – Our People team has created interactive pages with information about wellness tools and resources for all employees to access.
In addition, Persado encourages employees to spend their time and talent engaging with the charities that mean the most to them. Since 2019, Persado employees have raised $131,753 with 2,332 donations to 596 nonprofit organizations and logged over 216 volunteer hours. Through this Persado Cares program, Persado offers each employee two paid days off per year to participate in civic engagement opportunities within their communities. Our annual donation matching through BrightFunds helps to make employee giving impact even greater.

GOVERNANCE
Persado governance practices ensure that all business operations are conducted with ethical leadership, transparency, and responsible decision-making. We are committed to building out our corporate culture through governance policies such as:
- Security and Data Measures – Persado is compliant with GDPR, ISO 27001, SOC-2, and CCPA. Every Employee is required to complete annual training on security protocol through the Persado Academy. Additionally, any customer data sent to Persado is encrypted and all data is encrypted at rest. We do not train on any PII data.
- Incident Response Procedures – Persado has a Security Information team responsible for implementing and managing the tools that protect employees, customers, clients, and stakeholders.
- Persado Academy – The Academy is open to all Persado employees who are interested in continued training on different aspects of our business, whether customer-facing material or internal training. Courses are added frequently so all employees can stay up-to-date.
